VALVE JUNIOR MODULES
VALVE JUNIOR MODULES
The easy way to do Valve junior mods
The “SAT FAT” Module now offers the same optional footswitch functionality as the MID-BOOST Module. The SAT FAT module is a easy way to beef up the tone of your Valve Junior. Let’s face it, the Valve Junior lacks punch in the low-end. This easy to install module packs a hell of a low-end punch with significant gain increase in a special frequency range tuned just for what the Valve Junior lacks. So, put some junk in Junior’s trunk and treat yourself to a dose of “Saturated Fat” with B5 Amplification’s SAT FAT Module.
This “GAIN STATION” module is under redesign. I’m looking to add electronic switching for better live performance control. The manual switching version is still available if desired.
The “GAIN STATION” Module is a easy way to substantially change the Valve Junior’s gain structure. The three position switch dials up the classic punchy tone of a tweed amp pushed to its tungsten limits. The “Red Hot” position produces a Top-Boosted chime and midrange emphasis reminiscent of the legendary tone echoing through the streets of Liverpool with plenty of gain to boot. The “White Hot” position sets the Valve Junior up on the esteemed “British” amplifier alter. Delivering raw blues overdrive that will leave you standing at the crossroads and the plexi crunch that “British” amps are sought after for. LEDs are optional for this module.
All modules are hand built and ready to install into any Valve Junior head or combo. If you desire, you can have your module with the LED option custom built with choice of LED color. I use clear bright LED’s in blue, orange, red, green, purple, and white. Please e-mail: b5amps@me.com for more information and check out our Price List for pricing.

THIS COULD BE YOUR AMP!
Don’t let poorly designed mod kits clutter your chassis in an unsightly array of components and wire hosting an orgy of noise and oscillations.
The above photo is a popular Valve Junior modification kit, but I’m not sure why. Although functional, it does invite problems. B5 modules are just that, modules. The components are mostly self-contained on a compact circuit board with the exception of panel mount controls and some wiring for the controls. Noise mitigation in amplifiers is imperative and severely lacking in this popular modification kit in the amp above. Can you say hiss and squeal?
The new “MID-BOOST” Module adds a midrange gain increase when you need to cut through the mix, or to add midrange character and emphasis to a solo. The module can be conventionally switched via a toggle switch on the front panel, or with the optional footswitch. The footswitch option offers better control during performance and has bright LED visual indicators on the front panel and footswitch that are powered by the module. Noise mitigation is employed here as the module is self-contained and has electronic switching employed in the footswitch, so the signal never leaves the chassis.
Auxiliary Power Supplies. Why would anyone need another power supply in the Valve Junior? Well, auxiliary power supplies can open a lot of versatility to the Valve Junior. Adjustable Fixed-Bias, supply voltages for add-on circuits like effects, reverb, and more. They can be built in variety of different voltage ranges as well. Not to mention, multiple voltage taps if different voltages are needed.
